Red Brick Road - A Story of Upcycle

This month, we would like to share various ways of how we up-cycle the bricks, which come to our Recycling yard in the Skip Bins, which we collect from customers.

Bricks are a very valuable material and  particularly in Australia is a very popular material, which is used in building houses, brick fences, brick pedestrian walks, landscaping and other applications.

To re-use the bricks again, there are a few steps involved in our Recycling yard:

Step 1- separate the bricks from all other rubbish, via Excavator, Sorting Trommel and by hand

Step 2 - place all the bricks into a Brick Bay in our Yard

Step 3 - Clean the bricks, which are whole and are good enough to be re-used

Step 4 - Stack the Cleaned Bricks to a pallet, to be used in our Recycling Yard or to be transported to another site, where second hand bricks are required.

The highlight of this month - was the completion of our own Red Brick Road - by our talented brick layer George, who has created a very safe walk-way in our yard, to separate people from the machinery.  This satisfies our OH&S requirement and at the same time creates an opportunity for up-cycle of bricks.

Another important highlight was the high quality of our second hand bricks, which we have delivered to a luxury town houses construction in Highett, Vic, to be used as a double brick party wall, to ensure noise insulation between the town houses.

If you are getting rid of any bricks from your brick wall or brick fence and have a 100% brick ONLY waste, we are also able to provide a deeply discounted skip bins for 100% Bricks ONLY waste, for instant bin quotes please visit our secure website.

If you have your own story to share about bricks up-cycle or would like to comment on our post, we welcome all your comments :-)
